Information for Approved Applicants to the Worshipful Company of Founders
Welcome to the first part of your Founders journey! Applicants are welcome to begin engaging with the Company before their formal swearing‑in. The information below explains what you can access now.
Membership Portal Access
Applicants are given early access to the members’ portal so they can explore the site and book future events.
Login details will be issued by the office once your account has been created.
You may book events immediately, Full access to all areas of the site will be enabled once you become a Freeman.
Please upload a photograph and short biography to help members recognise you at events.
You can customise how your contact information appears in the online directory.
If anything on the site appears unclear or incorrect, please notify the office.
Payment for Events and Merchandise
The Company uses direct debit for event and merchandise payments. Charges are collected after attendance (typically around 10 days later). Applicants should register for our direct debit here: https://pay.gocardless.com/AL0005JWC2HYK6
Charitable Giving
The Company supports several charities. Applicants are encouraged make regular donations, however small – current range is £5 to £200 per month. These donations are subject to Gift Aid. Further information: www.foundersco.org.uk/warner-trust
Hall Maintenance Fund (HMF)
The Company owns its own Livery Hall, which requires ongoing maintenance. Members and applicants are invited to contribute regularly to the HMF. A suggested amount is £10 per month, or whatever you feel you can commit. Please note contributions are not charitable and are not eligible for Gift Aid.

E‑Newsletter
New members are automatically subscribed to the Company’s e‑Newsletter. This provides updates on events, reports, and City of London activities and is the primary communication channel for members and applicants - please take your time to read it if you can. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in each bulletin.
Social Media
Applicants are encouraged to follow and engage with the Company’s social media channels. Links are available on the header of this page.
Merchandise
Founders merchandise is available through the members’ portal. New items, including silk scarves, are in development. Suggestions for future items are welcome, subject to storage constraints.
Events
Applicants are welcome to attend Company events prior to admission. A full list of events is available on the members’ site and in your directory which you should receive either in the post, or on the day of your swearing-in (or both!)
Life’s Kitchen also hosts monthly lunches at Founders’ Hall, normally second Wednesdays open to applicants and their guests.
