Armed Services Lunch

On 17 September the Company demonstrated its commitment to the Armed Services Covenant.  All three services were represented:

• Guest Speaker was Commander Laura Harrison, Commanding Officer of HMS Sultan.  She spoke of the role of the reserve forces and their importance in the defence of the nation.

• RAF 33 Squadron has long been affiliated with the Founders’ Company which presents an annual loyalty award to one of its service personnel.  The Master presented our 2025 Award to Flight Lieutenant Tom Wilson.  Wing Commander Nick Monnahan and Squadron Leader Niall Davidson accompanied Flight Lieutenant Wilson.

• Major Maria Katehis completed the trinity of services represented.  She has a major role in coordinating London army cadet units.

The Company’s signature of the Armed Services Covenant recognises the importance of the Armed Services to the nation, and also recognises the vital contribution to them from the UK foundry industry.
