Tudor Pull 2025
It was Jolly Boating Weather for the Tudor Pull on Sunday 25th May. In other words we had a stiff breeze on the bow, right on the nose. We had to take the canopy down for fear it might blow us away or at least brake us to a standstill. Yet the sun shone and the tide flowed so fast that we surfed through the Pool of London all the way to Tower Bridge.
Crew of Paul Taylor (cox) Matthew Farrant, Ed Condry and Chris Draycott were joined by Lars and Jenifer Andersen from the Worshipful Entrepreneurs who added a touch of Norwegian Viking glamour.
There were ten boats in the flotilla as we rowed all the way from Richmond Bridge: Isleworth, Kew, Chiswick, Barnes, Hammersmith and Putney, through Chelsea and Westminster, past parliament as far as the Tower of London. Three hours at a fair pace. The Dickens Arms once again provided hop based recovery drinks at the finish.
